Description

Census Collection District (CCD) based data for Proficiency in Spoken English by Year of Arrival in Australia, in Basic Community Profile, 1996 Census. Count of persons born overseas and aged 5 years and over. Excludes overseas visitors, persons who did not state their birthplace and persons born overseas who stated they would be in Australia for less than 1 year. The data is by CCD 1996 boundaries. Periodicity: 5-Yearly. This data is ABS data (geographic boundary cat. no. 1261.0.30.001 & census dictionary cat. no. 2901.0) used with permission from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
