Geoscience Australia - National Consulates 2015

Dataset extent

Description

This dataset presents the location of national consulates in Australia. The consular mission's dataset was digitized in 2012 from the library of imagery held within Geoscience Australia (GA). Image resolution ranged from 0.15m to 2.5m. The first version of the database presented a combination of known consulates, embassies and high commission located within mainland Australia. It was released on the GA Website in December 2012. In March 2015, the consular mission’s dataset was reviewed by GA. Embassies and high commissions were to be removed from this dataset and were to be presented in a separate database. In May 2015, the consulates dataset was validated against the latest information available from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) website dated 4 May 2015.
