This dataset, released June 2020, contains Emergency department presentations for resuscitation by principal diagnosis, 2017/18. Presentations include Resuscitation presentations - Total; Resuscitation presentations for diseases of the circulatory system; Resuscitation presentations for diseases of the respiratory system; Resuscitation presentations for injury, poisoning and certain other consequences of external causes; Resuscitation presentations for other diseases or conditions.
The data is by Primary Health Network (PHN) 2017 geographic boundaries based on the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).
There are 31 PHNs set up by the Australian Government. Each network is controlled by a board of medical professionals and advised by a clinical council and community advisory committee. The boundaries of the PHNs closely align with the Local Hospital Networks where possible.
