LGA15 Mothers (smoking) and Babies - 2012-2015

The data includes the number of mothers and their proportion of the relevant population: who were smokers during a pregnancy, whose babies had a low birth weight (2012-14). Source: Compiled by PHIDU based on data from: NSW Department of Health; Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity, Victoria; Perinatal Data Collection, Department of Health, Queensland; Department of Health and Ageing SA; WA Department of Health; Tasmanian Perinatal Database; NT Department of Health; ACT Health.

The data also includes the number of babies and their proportion of the relevant population who were: fully breastfeeding at 3 months, fully breastfeeding at 6 months, ate soft foods before 4 months (2014-15). Source: Estimates for Population Health Areas (PHAs) are modelled estimates and were produced by the ABS; estimates at the LGA and PHN level were derived from the PHA estimates.

Data is by LGA 2015 profile (based on the LGA 2011 geographic boundaries) (all entries that were classified as not shown, not published or not applicable were assigned a null value; no data was provided for Maralinga Tjarutja LGA, in South Australia).
